It is with great excitement that we welcome Billy McCreary and Matt Pinchevsky to the Seacoast Spartans and Seacoast College Prep Community.
Bill McCreary Jr. grew up with hockey, the son and nephew of former NHL players Bill and Keith McCreary. He played for Shattuck-St. Mary’s before moving on to the NAHL to play Junior hockey. He split his college career between Division 1 Providence College and Division 3 Curry College and finished his career by playing five years of pro-hockey. Post his playing career Billy made a big statement in youth hockey by building the North Jersey Avalanche into a national powerhouse.
Matt Pinchevsky played hockey at Shattuck St.Mary’s and Curry College before starting his coaching career at Selects Academy at South Kent School. At Selects Academy, Matt helped grow one of the nations strongest hockey programs having direct influence over numerous college hockey players.
“Billy and Matt are both great character hockey coaches with a great amount of international experience including several years coaching with the World Selects Hockey Program ran by LEGACY Global Sports. With Riley’s new role in Pittsburgh, it was important to us to bring on people of equal quality and energy”, said Kurt Mallet the President of the Seacoast Spartans, “The growth of the Spartans and Seacoast College Prep program is gaining national attention and we are poised for great program growth in
2017-18 with the addition of our U16 and U14 teams.”
